Roatán next: the second Reef Resort

ArkPad announced a second floating resort near Próspera on Roatán, Honduras, pre-selling at early-stage prices with an unusual refund promise attached.

The Samal resort was the proof that one of these can be built and opened. The second one is the test of whether it is a business.

ArkPad announced a Reef Resort near Próspera, on the island of Roatán, Honduras — a very deliberate choice of neighbour. Próspera is a chartered special economic zone, and for a company whose central regulatory problem is "under whose rules does a floating structure exist", building next to a jurisdiction designed to answer that question is not a coincidence.

What was announced

  • The site is near Próspera on Roatán, on the Caribbean coast of Honduras.
  • It was pre-selling at early-stage pricing.
  • ArkPad-D platforms were to be integrated into it, rather than the resort being Glamphouses alone.
  • Construction was targeted before the end of Q2 2026.

At Samal, the same announcement said ArkPad-D units were expected on the water by Q1 2026, with the first owner distribution cycle in January 2026.

The refund promise

The unusual part is the buyer protection. ArkPad committed that if construction did not proceed by Q2 2026, pre-sale buyers would receive a full refund, or the option to transfer their purchase to Reef Resort Samal — the resort that is already open and already earning.

That is a stronger commitment than most early-stage property pre-sales offer, and it is the kind of term worth reading carefully rather than taking as reassurance. A refund promise is only as good as the entity making it, and the entity is not named in the public announcement.

A stale target, stated as such

Both those dates have now passed. This post is written in August 2026, and the public record still reads "targeted before the end of Q2 2026".

This site does not know whether construction started at Roatán, whether the refund-or-transfer commitment was triggered for any buyer, or whether the ArkPad-D units arrived at Samal in Q1 as planned. None of it has been published.

We are not going to guess, and we are not going to leave the old target sitting there as though it were current. If you are considering the Roatán pre-sale, the status of that Q2 2026 deadline is the first question to ask, and it should be answered in writing.
