Bring Life to the Ocean

ArkPad is a seasteading company with the goal of building floating cities in international waters.

What we build

Three products, one purpose

  • Render of a single ArkPad-D raised on four cylindrical spars, with a roof sun deck, external stair and side solar panels, and swimmers in the clear water below

    ArkPad-D

The Arkpad-D is the latest model of Arkpad unit. It is designed to survive hurricanes, be deployed hundreds of miles from land, and last decades with little to no maintenance without rusting. It has an expected service life of 80-95 years. It can be deployed with Solar Electricity, fresh Water Generation, Internal Septic and fresh Water tanks, and even aquaculture space for growing fish.

  • Underwater cutaway of a Hexafarm: three tiers of seaweed lines suspended under the surface, columns of shellfish baskets hanging inside the outer mesh, and lobsters on the netted floor below

    Hexafarm

The Hexafarm is a new type of floating fish cage that leverages polyculture to increase fish health, product output, and overall efficiency. Polyculture is the practice of growing multiple types of seafoods in close quarters with each other, to create a closed ecosystem that promotes the growth of all organisms. In the case of the Hexafarm, the central cage is designed for salt water fish such as Milk Fish or Grouper, while the outer cage for seaweed growing space or low-density fish rearing.

  • Top-down aerial photograph of the Reef Resort: hexagonal fish pens with green netting, rows of white glamping tents on floating platforms, black solar arrays, and an inflatable water park moored alongside on deep blue water

    Reef Resort

The Reef Resort is the Philippines implementation of the previous two technologies. Samal Island's Reef Resort combines Arkpad-D units with 4 hexafarms in close proximity. It is fully walkable, and uses 'Glamphouses' another seastead design, to hold up to 150 guests per day. You can purchase ownership in some units in the Reef Resort using cryptocurrency, or contact us to ask about the types of seasteads used and if they can be deployed to your property.

Our mission

Bring floating cities into reality.

We are a team of experienced Naval Architects, Civil, Chemical, Aeronautical, and Mechanical Engineers, as well as Blockchain Developers. We are committed to pushing forward new technologies to bring floating cities into reality. Whether the technology is smaller and more stable deep sea platforms, improved mariculture techniques. We are developing the technology of the future.

What a floating city looks like

Research & development

Other projects

  • Self-driving Boats

Arkpad is developing technologies to build self-driving boats that can travel long distances without needing a human at the helm.

  • Underwater Drones

We are building a modular underwater drone, which can be used for underwater viewing, manipulating objects, hull inspections, hull cleaning, and aquaculture work.

  • Ground Effect Drones

ArkPad is developing a ground effect drone for long range cargo delivery, ground effect vehicles exist between air freight and traditional shipping in terms of cost and speed.

  • Ocean Mining

Elements such as Lithium, Rubidium, Magnesium, and others can be harvested from seawater. While these technologies are still in their infancy, ArkPad is actively involved in this research.
